I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado in October 1983 and spent my formative years in Nashua, New Hampshire before moving to Winslow, Maine. After graduating from Winslow High School in 2002, I pursued higher education at the University of Maine at Orono, earning a degree in New Media with a concentration in Information Design and a minor in Computer Science. Immediately following graduation, I joined InforME, a child company of NIC, where I developed dynamic web applications primarily using Perl and PHP, and worked with MySQL and Oracle databases.
In the winter of 2013, I co-founded PingTank, a technology startup, where I gained valuable experience in leading teams and running a business, in addition to expanding my technical skills. In February of that year, we secured seed funding and relocated the company to Los Angeles, California. Our efforts paid off in March 2015 when PingTank was invited by Facebook to participate in a pilot program to integrate our company into their Messenger app, an opportunity that proved to be an invaluable experience.
As a sofware engineer, I have a successful track record of creating successful, complex and scalable applications for many different entities. Proficient in all aspects of systems architecture, I am a skilled analytical problem-solver who can rapidly adapt to new technologies. With excellent communication, presentation, and client relations skills, I can effectively communicate with individuals at all levels and convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
